Description
Fonce is revered as a Priest of Wisdom in the fantasy world of Asteria, but he has a secret obsession: modern-day Japan. Using teleportation magic, Fonce regularly peers into another world in search of the limitless knowledge contained within its greatest repository of information: the internet. Unfortunately, one of his excursions goes slightly wrong. Instead of merely bringing back knowledge from Japan, Fonce accidentally brings back Nanjō, a cheerful gyaru and amateur fashion model. Now a thoroughly modern Japanese girl is stranded in a fantasy world of magic, monsters and suspiciously nerdy priests. Nanjō, however, proves remarkably difficult to faze. Rather than desperately demanding to return home, she quickly adapts to Asteria and takes a liking to the awkward Fonce. And when it turns out that Nanjō possesses an extraordinary amount of magical power herself, sending her straight back to Japan becomes considerably less straightforward than expected. Thus begins the strange cohabitation of an otherworldly priest obsessed with Japanese culture and the very embodiment of a legendary creature he thought existed only on the internet: a gyaru who’s actually nice to otaku. But their ridiculous romantic comedy gradually develops into something much stranger. Who exactly is the Nanjō that Fonce brought to Asteria? Why does another Nanjō exist in Japan? And as the boundary between the two worlds begins to unravel, the question changes from how to send Nanjō home to figuring out where “home” actually is.
A reverse-isekai romantic comedy about an otaku fantasy priest, an absurdly powerful gyaru, and one magical accident that leaves two worlds increasingly tangled together.
